Busy, busy, busy

I've been busy! My daughter pointed out to me that I have not blogged in quite some time and she is right! Here is a picture of my tag from the latest exchange.

Just in the Nick of Time

It has been a busy month for me so far. I signed up for another card exchange and just barely got them in the mail on time. It always seems like it won't take as long as it does to make them. In my hurry I was only able to take a picture with my phone and it's not a very good one. I took my inspiration from the blog Stampin' Pretty. She always does such nice work. In any case, here's my take on her card. Hope you feel inspired to create.

My OCD Lesson of the Day

I'm excited today because I received the cards from the exchange that I participated in. It was fun to see all of the different ideas and to be able to actually hold them in my hands! I have a slight problem though...this is where my OCD comes into play. Amy had posted pics on her blog so I had an idea of what was coming my way except for that not everyone did their cards exactly the same. Some used different paper or a different lay-out. I know that it really shouldn't matter and in actuality it doesn't, it just surprised me. Lesson to me...Don't look at the pictures of the cards before I get them, then I will expect exactly what I get!

Third Time's a Charm

This is my third attempt at a blog. I've been so inspired lately reading other people's blogs and seeing their creations. I'm a work in progress and am still learning about this whole blogging thing. It's kinda scary exposing myself to people I don't know and even those I do.

I just participated in a card exchange and it sparked something in me that's been missing for a while. I actually had a great time creating. Granted, I didn't know where to start...I think it's true what "they" say. If you don't use it you lose it. I had lost all my creativity so I pulled out my handy dandy Stampin' Up catalog and "borrowed" some inspiration from there. I didn't copy their design but I definitely used one of the designs as a springboard to get me going. I had a BLAST!!! It felt so good to get lost in creating something. The best part is that in a few days I will have 13 other cards to be inspired from. It was a great experience and I highly recommend it. Of course, I have to give a HUGE thanks to Amy at The Happy Scraps for all of her work gathering, sorting and sending.

Also a BIG thanks to my husband for helping me figure out how to create links! He totally rocks my world. Until next time...
